The renovation of the twin handball courts at the Kwara State Stadium Complex has been completed.

The renovation, handled by G and G Global Works Limited has been modernized to a first class handball complex, with new dressing rooms, offices, toilets and floodlight.

Explaining the features to The Heraldsports on Wednesday, the Chief Executive Officer of G and G Global Works Limited, John Debo Adepoju said that his company has been able to deliver a first class facility which the state will be proud of, as the addition of dressing rooms, offices, toilets and floodlight has made it unique in Nigeria.

Trained to construct and maintain sports facilities, Adepoju said that his company did not compromise standards in handling the job, which he added, was completed within 60 days.

Adepoju was the former Manager of the Kwara State Stadium Complex, a job he did for 31 years, as the staff of the Kwara State Sports Council.

‘I was trained by the Kwara state government to handle maintenance and construction of sports facilities, and was employed basically because of the Kwara State Stadium Complex’, he said.

‘I was employed a month before the commencement of construction of the stadium in 1977, to study what the Bulgarians were doing.

A former handball player himself, Adepoju advised that the facility needs to be maintained and secured, for it to last long.

He commended the state government for giving his company the opportunity to handle the job.
