Radio Nigeria, Harmony FM, Idofian has reiterated its readiness to give necessary support to the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), in it forthcoming Media Games.
The General Manager, Harmony FM, Alhaji AbdulWahab Akosile gave the assurance when the SWAN Media Games Committee paid the Station a courtesy visit today, in Idofian.
Receiving the Kwara SWAN Media Games Committee on behalf of the General Manager, Head of Program Department, Hajia Binta Abubakar Mora said the Station had been up and doing in it support to the Media Games, and will not relent in doing so.
The General Manager also assured the Committee of the Station’s full news coverage of the Games, to create awareness to the general public.
Alhaji Akoshile wished SWAN successful Media Games, and hoped that all members participate in the competition, and as well, commended the Committee for introducing health talk, saying that it would enable members to know the importance of their health.
Earlier, the Chairman, SWAN Media Games Committee, Mallam Bola Mogaji, represented by the Kwara State Chairman of SWAN, Mallam Jimoh Bashir, who highlighted the activities for this year’s SWAN Media Games, added that the competition will commence on the 6th of October, starting with health talks, while it will be concluded with walk race on the 9th of October 2021.
The Chairman SWAN Media Games also said the Committee has incorporated representatives other bodies such as NUJ and NAWOJ, among others as part of the Main Organizing Committee (MOC), to promote unity and togetherness.
Indoor and outdoor events were selected for contest, which include football, volleyball, tennis, table tennis, badminton, scrabble, chess, ayo, dart, draft and walk race.
